There are many organisations who support youth work in Scotland encouraging the profession to thrive. This list is a starting point for some of the key agencies. Click on the logo to be taken directly to their websites. 

The professional body for people who work and volunteer in Community Learning and Development.  Through their values, competences and ethics the council sets out clean guidelines for practitioners.  Workers are invited to join the organisation on a registered or associate membership.  The website gives information regarding the national occupational standards, and links to professional learning including i-develop.

This is Scotland's national charity working with 13 - 25 year olds. The deliver the LGBT charter programme to schools, organisations and businesses.  Their goal is to make Scotland the best place to group up for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual and intersex young people.  They play a leading role in the provision of LGBTI youth work in addition to promoting equality and human rights.

Works with Schools and Educators to champion participatory and Global Citizenship Education.  The organisation offers professional learning, shares resources and works with partners in Europe and beyond to bring unique projects with a Global Citizenship focus to Scottish Schools and Youth Settings. They also link in with the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

The national agency for youth work. This organisation is membership based and represents more than 100 youth organisations throughout Scotland, both voluntary and statutory. The organisation organises, events, conferences and award ceremonies recognising excellent practice. They run national consultations and influence policy in partnership the the Scottish Government. Youthlink also has their own national occupational standards.

This is the largest national youth work organisation in Scotland. They support young people, youth groups, and youth workers through a membership scheme. Their work is split into 4 key areas of community based youth work.

Young Scot is Scotland's national youth information service. They offer a wide range of discounts and offers through their young scot card.  The organisation is a leader in sharing information, with recent campaigns being the #iwillweek and  Young Carers package of opportunities.

This is EU programme for training, youth and support.  Through the organisation young people can study, volunteer and gain work experience abroad. Staff are also encouraged to train abroad to gain fresh ideas and buld professional practice.  UK organisations are also given the opportunity to collaborate with international partners and offer new opportunities to young people
